Das englische Wort "hooked" bringt es mit seiner doppelten Bedeutung "hakenförmig" und "total begeistert" genau auf den Punkt: Wir beißen an, schlucken den Haken und "bleiben kleben": wir machen uns ein Produkt zur eigenen Gewohnheit. Die Einzelmotive können dabei so unterschiedlich sein wie wir Menschen. Hab das Buch gekauft nachdem es in einem YouTube-Video von Walulis beiläufig erwähnt wurde. Eine Pflichtlektüre für jeden der sich mit Vertriebspsychologie, Apps, Webseiten oder digitalem Vertrieb auseinandersetzt.Sehr kompakt und verständlich geschrieben mit klaren Beispielen und ohne viel Larifari.

Auch wenn ich momentan nicht vorhabe, ein eigenes Produkt nach dem im Buch erklärten Schema zu erstellen, hat mir das Buch sehr gut gefallen. Die Informationen sind verständlich dargeboten und sehr interessant.Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass Menschen, die ein eigenes Produkt herstellen möchten, hiervon noch um einiges mehr profitieren werden. Daher sollte man durchaus darüber nachdenken, dieses Buch zu lesen, bevor man sein eigenes Produkt erstellt.

Ich war etwas enttäuscht, dass man so schnell mit dem Buch durch ist – obwohl darin ein interessanter Ansatz beschrieben ist.Vielleicht berücksichtige ich das Modell für meine nächsten Projekte und schaue, in wie fern das Modell zutrifft.Ein kleines Taschenbuch hätte aber eigentlich als Größe gereicht.

For all us poor monoglot anglophones who have been wrestling with secondhand interpretations of the significance and detail of Schaeffer's unique contribution to music, this long awaited text sets the record straight. Now for the first time we get a sense of the complexity, expansive depth and self-critical vigour of Schaeffer's thinking. There are so many ideas in this work that will stimulate new insights for those of us who have been kept in ignorance by our lack of access to the original texts. Dack and North have done us a great service for which I am truly grateful. Their meticulous work over many years has been rewarded with the issue of this essential text for all interested in electroacoustic music and sound studies in general. We await with great expectation the completion of the translation of the Treatise on Musical Objects. Three cheers for Dack and North!
